Channel Normalization on Jalan Bendungan Hilir to Complete this Week

The water channel normalization on Jalan Bendungan Hilir alley 12 RT 02/03 Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, runs by Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resource Taskforce since Tuesday (9/17) ago is targeted to complete this week.
Now the progress has reached 77 percent
Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari, said the normalization is run to respond local resident's request since inundation often occurs during heavy rain.

"Some of elevation points of the channel were not appropriate. The we're replastering the channel also," she said, Monday (9/30).
According to her, the normalization is run by replacing the plaster material from river stone to U-ditch, and heightening the west-side channel.
"We deploy six personnel every day. Now the progress has reached 77 percent and is targeted to complete this week," she added.
One of local residents, Arif, appreciated the work held by Water Resource Sub-agency.
"We hope the channel improvement to be completed fully before the rainy season," he hoped.
